公園でランチを食べようとやってきたユウイチは、新入社員のアオイに会います。
Yuichi: Hi, Aoi! Did you buy something to eat already?
Aoi: Oh, hi Yuichi. Yes, it’s a beautiful day, so I wanted to have lunch in the park.
Yuichi: Come and have lunch with us. We’re sitting over there.
Aoi: OK. Thanks.
Yuichi: I wanted to invite you to lunch today, but you seemed busy.
Aoi: Yes, there are so many things to learn at the company. It’s hard being the new person.
Yuichi: Don’t worry. Right now, let’s just relax.

①長い文を口にすること
Yes, it’s a beautiful day, so I wanted to have lunch in the park.
日常会話ではある程度の内容を持った複数の文を投げかけるのが普通です。最初は so でつないだこの程度の文のように「いい天気だね」で終わらず「だから･･･」とつなげて大きなボールにして相手に投げる。そんな練習を始めましょう。
②it を主語に置く文
It’s hard being the new person.
心に浮かんだ状況を it で受け、it’s hard と始めています。とにかく it で気軽に文を始めて、内容はあとからゆっくり説明。
ここでは it の内容を being the new person（ひとりだけの新入社員であること）を説明しています。動詞 -ing形は具体的でリアルな状況が思い浮かぶ表現。アオイは事実、新入社員ですからぴったりな表現です。

Come and have lunch with us.
with は「つながり（一緒）」をイメージとする前置詞です。この文は場所のつながり。「私たちと一緒に」ですね。「～と」と日本語訳で覚えるのはやめてください。with は「～と」よりもはるかに守備範囲が広いのです。
I like girls with long, blond hair. / with blue eyes.
体の一部に関して「～と」は使えませんが、場所的につながっていますよね。次のポピュラーなフレーズもやはり場所的なつながりが感じられます。
① What’s the matter with you? どうしたの。
② I’m satisfied with my new laptop. 僕は新しいラップトップに満足しているよ。
①は「君と一緒にいる（＝君の抱えている）問題は何？」
②の be satisfied with（～に満足している）には対象物の横に(一緒に）いて満足している様子が感じられます
with の際だった使い方は「道具・材料」。手とつながっている(一緒）ことが感じられる使い方です。

beard は「あごひげ」。体の一部でも with が使えます。

agree with は「同意する」。for onece は「今回に限り」-範囲限定の for です。

be familiar with は「熟知している」。主語が with 以下と familiar（密接な）「つながり」があるということ。
