Ben: Hi, Jackie. You look busy.
Jackie: Well, the PR event is due to begin in an hour, and there’s still lots to do.
Ben: I’m sure you’ll have everything ready in time.
Jackie: Thanks. Now, did you make the posters I asked you for?
Ben: Oh, no! I completely forgot. I’m very sorry.
Jackie: What? OK, don’t worry about it. It’s too late now.
Ben: No. I can make some very quickly on my computer.
Jackie: OK. So, do it!

謝罪の定型表現のあとは、それに対する応答をマスターしておきましょう。この「気にしないでください」はたいへんポピュラーな定型フレーズ。

② Never mind. 気にしないで下さい。
③ It doesn’t matter. たいしたことじゃありませんよ。
④ These things happen. よくあることですよ。
⑤ Just forget it, OK? 忘れましょう、いいね？

I’m sorry. － That’s not enough.
