tell はたいへん頻度が高く重要な基本動詞です。
Today’s dialog
テスがトニーと映画について話しています。
Tess: I really enjoyed that DVD. It’s an old movie, but I like the characters.
Tony: The actor who played the old man died many years ago, but I remember him well.
Tess: He had a nice relationship with the boy.
Tony: Yes, the man taught him the spirit of karate.
Tess: You cried at the end. Tell me why you cried.
Tony: The boy was like a son to the old man. He was so proud of the boy.
Tess: You’re getting sentimental in your old age.
