Greg: Thanks. You look funny, too. Look at this program. It says “Commencement Exercises,” not “Graduations Ceremony.”
Tammy: Yes, it’s a more formal way of saying the same thing.
Greg: Why is it called “commencement”?
Tammy: “Commencement” means starting something. So, our graduation is the start of our adult lives, not just the end of our college days.
Greg: Yes, I’m looking forward to starting my career in the real world. And I really have to thank my parents. Without their support, I couldn’t have graduated.

Yes, it’s a more formal way of saying the same thing.
formal は「正式の・儀礼的な」。of の使い方に注意。この単語は「～の」ではなく、前の表現を「名詞で説明する」ためのものと考えてください。極端に意味の薄い前置詞なのです。a more formal way と言い切った後、その説明「同じことを言う、ね」を展開しています。
I’m looking forward to starting my career in the real world.
look forward to は「～を楽しみにする」。look forward to the concert のように名詞が来ることもあります。つまり to は（to 不定詞ではなく）前置詞。「～することを」と続けるときには動詞 -ing 形となります。

if 節が使われない仮定法の文です。
couldn’t have が仮定法の結び「～できなかっただろうなぁ」だからです。without their support は「もし彼らの助けがなければ」と事実に反する仮定として機能しています。実際には援助があり卒業できたということですね。
without ～と同様の「～がなかったら」を表すフレーズには次の but for もあります。
But for your encouragement, I would have given up a long time ago.
前後の文脈から、何が仮定されているのかが容易に類推できるときにも if 節は使われません。
A: Yukari looked so confident on stage.
ユカリはステージで自信たっぷりに見えたよ。
B: Yeah. I would have been a nervous wreck!
うん、僕なら精神的に参っていたところだよ！
Bの発言には If I were her（もし僕がユカリだったら）が隠れています。わざわざ言わなくても通じる – だから if 節が省略されるのです。

if 節を使わない仮定法に慣れていきましょう。
Without crowdfunding, I could never have started my business.
crowdfunding はインターネットを通して広く一般から資金を調達する方法です。「それができなかったら」と反事実の仮定を置いているため、could never have（できなかっただろうなぁ）と仮定法で結んでいるのです。
But for the train delay, I would have made it on time.
make it on time は「時間に間に合う」。make it には「うまくいく・やり遂げる」のニュアンスがあります。make には「（力を入れて）作り上げる」イメージがあるからですよ。
Amazing! I would have needed three of four helpers – at least!
最後に at least（少なくとも）をつけることによってコミカルな文となっています。「私だったら」という反事実の想定が文脈から明らかですから if 節は必要ありません。
