レッスンのポイント
動詞 -ing 形は、to 不定詞とまったく同じように、動詞句や名詞の後ろに置きそれらを説明することができます。よく使われる形です。しっかりマスターしましょう。

Ha ha! OK, that sounds great! So I’ll drop by tomorrow, and I’ll wear a costume too.

現在完了経験用法（～したことがある）の否定です。hear of …は「～について聞く」。 全文で「聞いたことがありません」というフレーズとして覚えましょう。
I love to eat them on Halloween. If you want to try some, please come to our house tomorrow.
I’ll drop by tomorrow.
drop by は「立ち寄る」。drop はポテっと落ちる感じ。by は「近く」ですから、「近くにポテっと落ちる→立ち寄る」となります。

I spent all morning cleaning up my room.
to 不定詞も動詞 -ing 形も文中の場所によって、その機能が決まります。この文では動詞句 spent all morning（午前すべてを費やした）の後ろに cleaning up my room が置かれています。spent all morning を「部屋を掃除しながら」と生き生きとした行為で説明をしているのです。
The person wearing the witch’s costume will be… me!
決して「魔法使いの仮装をしている人」と日本語訳の順番で考えないでください。英語の意識はあくまでも「語順どおり」。まず最も大切な語句 the person を言い切ってしまうのです。そしてどのような人かを wearing the witch’s costume（魔法使いの仮装をしている）と説明しているのです。to 不定詞も動詞 -ing 形も英語は常に、語順ルールに従います。

「答案を採点する」は、grade exam。イギリスでは mark exam 。
The guy fishing on the riverbank has caught lots of fish.
the guy をまず言い切って、fishing on the riverbank （土手で釣りをしている）
