Lights, please. Camera one, get into position. Are you ready, Emma?
I’m ready when you are!
I’m starting the countdown now. Five, four, three, two…
Good morning. This is KEL 2 News. I’m Emma Johnson.
Our top story today concerns an innovative solution for an environmental problem.
I want our viewers to understand the importance of this new technology.
So, we’re going to show it to you in action.
Let’s go live to our correspondent on location in the Pacific Ocean. Brandon?

Thanks, Emma. I’m Brandon Johnson. Behind me, you can see a device that cleans up microplastics in the ocean. I would like you to take a look at this amazing invention.
Hmm. It looks like a water tank.
Yes. Inside this tank, there is a type of bacteria that eats plastic.
Ocean water flows into the tank, and once the plastic is gone, the clean water is returned to the ocean.

Actually, a Japanese college student created this design for her environmental science thesis.
Thank you for that fascinating report, Brandon!

Next, I’ll interview two international fashion designers. Welcome to the studio, Shiraki Ayane and Min-jun Moon!
Thank you for having us.
First, please tell us about your brands.
Sure. Both of our brands care deeply about the environment. My brand is based in Paris. We use fabric made with 100% recycled materials.

My brand is based in New York. We use dye made from natural ingredients.
I see. You’re working on a collaboration now. Is that correct?
Yes, that’s right. Our clothes will be sold all over the world.

What inspired you to do this collaboratio?
We’ve worked together many times, and we really respect each other.
About 15 years ago, we won a contest and travelled to Paris together. At that time, we learned the importance of listening to each other’s ideas.
Yes. If you work together, you can achieve things you couldn’t imagine by yourself. Truly great things can be achieved.

I agree. I have one final question. This program has viewers of all ages. Do you have any advice for people chasing their dreams?
Certainly!

Chasing your dream is not always a smooth journey.
Be patient and believe in yourself.
Every step you take is a new and valuable experience.
Even if your path changes along the way, every skill you gain will be useful in some way.
Many people supported and encouraged me, and now I want to support and encourage others.
I believe in you.
Together, we can change the world!
