中高生の基礎英語 in English Topic 15 Day 1
Do you prefer living in the city or in the countryside?
Dialogue
Tom: You’re living in the countryside now, aren’t you? I bet it’s nice. Do you prefer living in the city or in the countryside?
Liz: The countryside is peaceful, but I prefer the city. You can see plays, visit museums, and go to all kinds of restaurants. Also, the trains come every few minutes, so it’s easy to get around.
Tom: I know what you mean, but I want to live in the countryside. I feel so much more relaxed there. The vegetables are fresh, and you can see the stars more clearly.
Liz: That’s a good point, but I have to travel into the city every day. The train ride is so long!
Tom: Oh, but. You can use that time to read. Ah, I wish we could swap homes.
Liz: Me too.
