Nigel: Yeah, Halloween isn’t so popular in Australia. It’s not tel like in the U.S.

Sapna: But there are some cool Halloween events for teenagers and adults.

Sapna: I like the Zombie Party the best!

Kota: What’s that?

Nigel: A big crowd gathers every year.

Sapna: You can get professional zombie makeup there. There’s a zombie parade. And there’s a zombie dance.

Kota: A zombie dance?

Sapna: Yeah. A group of zombies dances to music.

Kota: Which is more enjoyable, the parade or the dance?

Sapna: The dance, of course!

Kota: Sounds great.

Sapna: We should go!

Kota: OK! I’ll invite Briony.

Sapna: Fantastic! It’ll be like a double date.

Kota & Nigel: What?

Kota: Thanks. We used some old T-shirts. We tore holes in them.

Briony: Sapna and I cut our sleeves with scissors.

Sapna: What did you guys use for the blood?

Nigel: We used tomato sauce.

Briony: We used strawberry jam.

Sapna: It smells better than tomato sauce.

Nigel: I don’t think so.

Kota: Look! So many people are getting zombie makeup.

Nigel: Let’s get in line.

Sapna: There are two different styles. You can get cute makeup or scary makeup. What will you get, Briony?

Briony: I like cute makeup better than scary makeup.

Briony: Thanks. You look frightening, Kota.

Kota: Oh, um…

Briony: But you look cool! That scar on your cheek is so realistic.

Sapna: Hey, that food stall sells zombie snacks!

Briony: What kind of zombie snacks?

Nigel: Let’s see. They have green popcorn and eyeball cookies.

Sapna: That’s disgusting, haha.

Nigel: Which do you want?

Kota: I love cookies. But the popcorn is two dollars cheaper than the cookies. I’ll get the popcorn.

Sapna: OK, but hurry, everyone. The zombie dance is starting soon!
