中学生の基礎英語 レベル２ Lesson 130 Review
This Week's Stories
Ayane: Not really. Last year, Aunt Rio ordered takeout from a restaurant. We had turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes.
Emma: Takeout? This year, why don't you and your aunt come to my house?
Ayane: Really? Your family doesn't mind?
Emma: Of course not. My dad always makes a feast. We have roasted turkey, homemade cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes with gravy.
Ayane: Wow! I have eaten roasted turkey before, but I have never tried cranberry sauce. I can't wait!
Rio: Perfect timing, Ayane. I'm expecting a client soon.
Ayane: Who's today's client?
Rio: He's an actor. He ordered a suit for an awards ceremony. Look at this.
Ayane: Wow! This shiny material looks so futuristic.
Rio: I chose it because he recently starred in a science-fiction movie.
Ayane: Science-fiction? No way. Is it Adam Dellarossa?
Rio: Why yes! Have you ever seen any of his movies?
Ayane: Yes, I have. I just saw his new movie. He played a brave astronaut!
Ayane: How many times have you been to an awards ceremony?
Adam: More than 20 times. I usually wear a tuxedo. To be honest, it's a little boring. This modern suit is so unique!
Rio: I'm glad you like it. I made this special glove to go with the suit.
Adam: Oh, it looks like a robot arm! This is perfect for the sci-fi movie awards ceremony!
Ayane: Actually, I'm her niece! I came to New York from Tokyo to study fashion. Have you ever been to Tokyo?
Adam: Yes, I have. I've been there three times. Five years ago, I rode the bullet train. I went from Tokyo to Kyoto. I loved seeing the scenic Japanese countryside!
Ayane: It is beautiful. What did you do in Kyoto?
Adam: I was visiting for a film premiere. I also did some sightseeing.
Ayane: A film premiere? How exciting!
Thank you so much for this award.
I'd like to thank the director, producer, and the fantastic cast and crew.
I've been an actor since I was five years old.
