Lesson 144 Now it’s your turn to make everyone happy

直樹が帰宅すると、翔の部屋から大きな声が聞こえてきます。

Let’s listen to today’s story.

Sho: Yes, yes, yes!

Naoki: What happened, Sho? Are you hurt?

Sho: I’m OK, Dad. Miki texted me to say she got into the school of her choice.

Naoki: I’m happy to hear that!

Sho: Look! She sent a picture of herself with a big smile.

Naoki: So you tell each other about your exams by sending pictures, huh? When I was in junior high school, we used a pay phone to tell our families we passed. I remember there were so many of us lining up to use the phone.

Sho: You didn’t have cell phones?

Naoki: We did, but they were very expensive. Anyway, now it’s your turn to make everyone happy. Are you ready?

Sho: Yeah. You can count on me.

That’s my number!
