ミキが、自宅で月見パーティー用の料理を作っています。

Were they that bad?

Miki: There we go! What do you think, Grandma?

Mimiko: Tastes great, but you sure used a lot of eggs to get it right.

Miki: Sorry.

Mimiko: Don’t worry. Your father can eat your mistakes. He will eat anything if he knows his daughter did the cooking. Heh, heh.

Miki: Were they that bad?

Mimiko: Yes, but I respect your effort. So, what is this for?

Miki: A full moon potluck party. Everyone is bringing their own food.

Mimiko: I’d like to go, too.

Miki: What? But….

Mimiko: I can cook up a lot of delicious food for everyone.

Miki: Well, in that case, OK!

ミキ: できた！　どうかしら、おばあちゃん？

ミミ子: おいしいよ、それにしてもうまく作るためにずいぶんと卵を使ったね。

ミキ: ごめんなさい。

ミミ子: 心配しなさんな。おまえのお父さんが失敗作を食べてくれるよ。娘が料理をしたと知れば何でも食べてくれるよ。ハハッ。

ミキ: そんなにひどい味？

ミミ子: そうだね、でも努力は認めるよ。ところで、これな何のために作っているんだい？

ミキ: お月見の持ち寄りパーティーなの。みんながそれぞれ作った料理を持ってくるの。

ミミ子: わたしも行きたいね。

ミキ: えっ？　でも･･･。

ミミ子: わたしならみんなのためにおいしいものをたくさん作れるけど。

ミキ: それなら、いいわ！
