Alana: I’m not sure if acupuncture will help, but it’s worth a try.
Hiroki: Can you suggest any good places?
Alana: Let me do a web search and get back to you.

Mr. Kudo: It’s too bad our homestay student went back to America.
Mrs. Kudo: Yes, last year I made oshiruko for Sean after he cleared the snow for us.
Mr. Kudo: Can you make some this year too?
Mrs. Kudo: Of course!

Takuma: Hi, Miranda. I need your advice.
Miranda: Sure, what’s up?
Takuma: I remember your great presentation on Ancient Rome and Tokyo. I’d like to compare Tokyo and ancient Greece.
Miranda: That’s not original. You’d be giving the same presentation as mine.
Takuma: Not really. Ancient Greece and ancient Rome were different cultures.
Miranda: I take your point, but I think you’ve misunderstood what I meant. It’s basically the same idea.
Takuma: So, I shouldn’t do it?
Miranda: Well, something completely different would be better.

Alexis: But I want to go shopping for clothes.
Casper: It’ll just take a second. Oh, wait. This is a rare figure.
Alexis: A Princess Layla figure? You have five of those already.
Casper: But I need to get this one.
Alexis: You can’t be serious! Look at the price. It’s 50,000 yen! For a figure? Why?
Casper: It’s a limited edition.
