今回は as。さまざまな意味で使われる接続詞ですが、イメージは単純。「＝（イコール）」です。
Today’s dialog
新入社員の歓迎会を企画したヤヨイとジョナスですが･･･。
Yayoi: Jonas, sorry I’m late. Just as I was leaving the office, the boss told me he couldn’t attend the party.
Jonas: So, you are going to welcome the new employees?
Yayoi: That’s right.
Jonas: OK. Let’s get this show on the road!
Yayoi: Hi, everyone! I’m sorry to have kept you waiting. Now, without further ado, let’s give a very warm welcome to our three new recruits. Jonas. A toast, please!
Jonas: To a bright future for our company. Cheers!
