Sho: Hei, Dad. Sure.

Naoki: We need to talk about….

Naoki: Hmm…so you will be in charge of laundry and cooking the rice.

Sho: That’s right.

Naoki: I am in charge of hanging the laundry before going to work. We will take turns with cleaning. This should make things easier for Grandma.

Sho: Also, Masae will continue to help us with the cooking.

Naoki: Is that so? We should thank her.

Sho: Yeah. I now understand how hard Grandma works, thanks to this list.

翔: そのとおり。

直樹: わたしは、出勤前に洗濯物を干す担当だね。家の掃除は交代でする。これで少しはおばあちゃんも楽になるかもね。

翔: それから、昌枝おばちゃんが引き続き料理の手伝いをしてくれるって。

直樹: 本当かい？ 感謝しないといけないね。

翔: うん。家事担当表を作ってみて、おばあちゃんの仕事がどれだけ大変かわかったよ。

ここで使われている should は「～のはずだ」の意味。「～したら、…になるはずだ」のように、結果を予想して言うときに使います。
